Tracking: 

          In a general way, teachers have learned that visual tracking refers to an eye movement and coordination ability. When a child has trouble with visual tracking it typically results in behaviors that usually involve skipping lines when reading and copying which can lead to reduced reading and writing achievement.    

Saccades:

          A saccade is a quick, simultaneous movement of both eyes between two or more phases of fixation in the same direction.


Changing Focus:

          When eyes quickly change focus from one target to another.

Visual Discrimination:
         
         
The ability to recognize letters and words regardless of their font or style and the difference between letters that look alike.

Binocularity:

          When both eyes point at the same place, move accurately and smoothly as one and create a single image.

Visual Memory:

          The ability to "picture" in our minds things we've seen.

Depth Perception:

          The ability to judge an object's distance and understand the spatial relationship of objects at different distances.

Eye Teaming:

          The ability to use both eyes accurately and efficiently.
